Although cats do not need to be groomed, there are some occasions where a cat may need to be shaved. Cats with severe matting often need to be shaved because it is the only way to safely remove the mats. Shaving your cat can also make it easier for topical medicines to penetrate the skin or may be necessary for obese cats that cannot properly groom themselves. This service is done by appointment only and usually requires sedation.
